WNE 2021 – The countdown is on !

The 4th edition of the World Nuclear Exhibition (WNE), the world’s largest exhibition dedicated to the civil nuclear sector, chaired by French Ambassador Sylvie Bermann, will take place from Tuesday 30 November to Thursday 2 December 2021, at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre (Hall 7).

WNE brings together the global civil nuclear community at a single prestigious event for networking, doing business and discussing the major challenges facing the industry and society. Sector leaders and decision-makers meet at WNE to exchange views, share objectives, discuss topics of strategic importance and and develop new partnerships.

This edition will once again have an international dimension with 55 countries represented, 13 of them with national pavilions, as well as SMEs, Midcap companies and startups from around the world. The participation of world leaders is expected.

This year, WNE is launching a new hybrid format, both physical and digital, in order to reach the largest possible number of participants. The face-to-face version will be held in strict compliance with health and safety requirements for all participants.

Leading personalities will kick off this major international civil nuclear event on Tuesday 30 November. The theme of this year’s event, “The nuclear industry, a key player for a low carbon society and a responsible future”, is more than ever aligned with the challenges of today and tomorrow. The WNE programme will feature days dedicated to SMRs & Adanced Reactors, Hydrogen, and Waste Management, during which technologies and innovations that contribute to a low-carbon society will be highlighted.

Following its previous editions’ successes, WNE is also announcing the WNE Awards, showcasing the real innovations and talents with 8 prizes rewarding innovation in products and services, skills and knowledge management, in operational excellence and in nuclear safety. Big Groups, Micro- and  small & medium-sized enterprises will have their own prizes awarded in each of the four categories. To date, almost 138 nominations have been submitted, and the nominees will be unveiler at the end of October through a dedicated communication while winners will be announced on the first evening of the show during a dedicated ceremony.

The “young shoots” shaping the nuclear industry of the future will have their own space, the Startup Planet. Presentations (contributions by experts, demonstrations, pitches) will allow them to showcase their innovative capabilities and interact with visitors and professionals at the show.

Business, Networking and Innovation – the core of the sector’s work and key to success – will be in the spotlight for 3 days for an unique edition of WNE.
